The Knight's Inn is located in a more commercial/industrial area than some of the other local hotels, but it is a fairly new hotel, at least in this particular location. The Knight's Inn used to be located elsewhere in town, and it had been in that location for quite some time, while it's new location is closer to Highway 12, making it a good choice for those attending any functions or events in Tudhope Park, or for those wanting to visit Casino Rama. It is also still reasonably close to the downtown core (shopping).
The rooms are newish, clean and comfortable, and although it is close to a commercial district, evenings and weekends are fairly quiet in that area. Just a short way up the street are numerous restaurants scattered along Mississaga Street - everything from Chinese Food, to Roadhouse style meals. Just a short hop from the hotel is a small strip-plaza (Willow Court Plaza, the corner of 12 and West Street South) with a variety store and 50s style diner.
For an affordable and comfortable hotel when visiting Orillia to attend any of the many weekend events here, this could be a pretty decent choice for families too.
